Hunters Hill Rugby Union Football Club have achieved some major wins this season raising in excess of $50,000 through the Australian Rugby Foundations’ toolkit.

With 120 players across six teams the new funds raised will go towards equipment balls, coaching services, operating expenses and infrastructure such as an ice machine.

The club first heard about the toolkit at a presentation night with Australian Rugby Foundation Executive Director Peter Murphy. Soon after their members locked in a follow up meeting to gain further insights and put steps into place to get the ball rolling.

Hunters Hill set the minimum donation at $1,000 and were overwhelmed with the number of generous donors who came forward.

The club also worked hard to promote their fundraising initiative through a number of private channels.

This included sharing a weekly club newsletter, contacting former players and high net worth individuals as well as announcing it at their season launch.

To acknowledge donors for their generosity each First Grade XVs player now wears a special club polo to recognise those who supported them.

We are always excited to hear about your successful fundraising campaigns, so please send your story to us by emailing amy.spinks@rugby.com.au so we can share it with our rugby community.
